I am delighted to welcome you to Middle Barton Primary School. As Headteacher, I feel incredibly privileged to be part of this wonderful school community, where we strive to nurture, support and inspire every child to achieve their full potential.

At Middle Barton Primary, we are committed to providing a safe, supportive, and challenging space where curiosity is fostered, creativity is celebrated, and a love of learning is encouraged. We believe in creating a nurturing environment that helps our students develop academically, socially, and emotionally. 

Our outdoor learning approach is rooted in the belief that children thrive when they are engaged in hands-on experiences, exploring, creating, and interacting with nature. Whether it's through studying plants and wildlife, or learning about the environment and sustainability, every moment spent outdoors is a moment of discovery and growth. We are fortunate enough to have a large site with playing fields, playgrounds, a forest school area and an outdoor eco classroom, transformed from our old swimming pool – one of a kind!

We know that learning outdoors not only nurtures curiosity and creativity, but it also strengthens resilience, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. We encourage our students to step out of their comfort zones, challenge themselves, and connect with the world in meaningful ways. This approach fosters an appreciation for the environment and a sense of responsibility to care for our planet. Wellies and waterproofs are a fundamental part of life at Middle Barton!
